She was looking forward to meeting her friends on the train, but first she had to find a safe place to put her worms. At last she came to the end of the train and found a compartment with only one person, a boy who looked either her age or a little bit younger. "Hello. Mind if I join you?" Kitty sat down before waiting for an answer and immediately set her crate down on the floor and took out her small hand mirror to examine herself. Then she snapped it shut and turned to the boy sitting across from her. "I'm Kitty DuGray Valentine, but you can call me Kitty for short." The Goth girl extended her pale hand towards him to shake. "I've seen you a lot but I don't know your name."
