...He smiled adoringly at Gabby. Who... actually didn't look completely okay. But he wouldn't bring attention to her like that, not in front of everyone.
"Oh, thank you," Zhenya replied. It was nice of her to remember her birthday too. Perhaps Archer had said something. She just smiled. She didn't know what to do with compliments but coming from Gabby it was very nice.
Lisabel had closed the door, and spotted Archer. Another adult, good. "Archer, come here," she said, with her arm extended for a hug. "And you must be Gabby," she said, turning to the woman he was with. "Alex and I have heard a lot about you. Italy, he says you are from? Just wonderful, I was in Italy once as a little girl. Ooooohhhhh, the pizza and gelati were amazing..." she paused mid-sentence at the announcement that Gabby was feeling sick. "Are you ill?" she asked. "Come to the kitchen, I can get you some water and you can have a sit down. Archer, what have you been feeding Gabby?"
Archer looked bemused. "Nothing that I haven't been eating! They say the water in Mexico is a bit funny... did you swallow some when we went swimming?" he asked her. He grabbed her hand and put his arm around her waist with the other one, just in case she needed support or comfort.
