It was the moment that Kye had been waiting for her whole life. She was finally getting her own wand. She walked in front of her parents with such focus on her destination that she was leaving them behind. She opened the door to the infamous Ollivander's and looked around. It wasn't a majestic looking shop, but its history was worth more than its image. She raised an eyebrow at the furniture set out for the shops patrons. Did people often have to wait that long?

Surveying the shop, she noticed the goods available such as holsters, engraving, and so forth. I'll definitely be asking about that, she decided immediately. Although she had more of a water spirit, there was something about the look of an ivy engraved wand that really caught Kye's eye.

Something had caught her eye in the next area. It was a measuring tape that seemed to have its own personality. At least, it noticed her presence. Leaving her parents behind, Kye approached the measuring tape and almost immediately it started zooming around her person, measuring this and that, here and there. Kye secretly felt a little intruded upon, but her face stayed focused and still. She was always a bit paranoid that she was being watched, and she never wanted to be caught being so vulnerable and naive. Perhaps she was a bit odd, but she was very determined to have an interesting story when she was a legend of the wizarding world.

The measuring tape seemed to finally finish with her. Kye eyed it for a moment to make sure, before heading back to the counter to receive a wand. Her heart was beating harder than usual.
