Scarlett could have been here all along, and Ariadne had just missed seeing her.

Reaching the treehouse, Ariadne climbed up and took a look around. "Hey, Scarlett!" she said, spotting her Hufflepuff friend. "I thought I saw you come up here. Hope you don't mind the company." Who knows. Maybe she had come up here to get away from it all. "I feel like I haven't seen you in such a long time. Where have you been?"
Scarlett had just settled in when she heard someone calling her name. Hmm, was she more popular than she had thought?! She turned and saw it was Ariadne, her Slytherin friend - which was a weird thing to say. She'd never thought one of her closest friends would be a SNAKE! Of course, she'd made friends with people of every house, really. Scarlett was not one to shy away from a conversation, no matter who it was.

"Hey Ariadne! Of course, hop on up!" she said with a grin, tapping the spot on the ledge next to her and scooting over to make room. Her pink glitter shoes were sparkling in the sunlight as they hung over the edge - it really was a PERFECT spring day!

"I've been around - catching up on homework, I got really sick after coming back from Florida and missed some classes so I've been trapped under a pile of homework for a while," she admitted with a scowl. Slowly but surely, though, she was catching up and she was sure she'd be one of the top point earners at the end of term. An excellent end to an excellent year!
