And of course, but not relevant to his assessment, there was the subtle, barely noticeable accent that gave Thomas the indication that he worked, studied or lived abroad for a while, a year, maybe two? "Wouldn't mind, but I find what I do much more enticing to be honest" Thomas smirking back at him, playfully, taking another sip form his coffee. Thomas placed his mug again on the table and shook the hand that was being offered to him "Thomas Black, Unspeakable" . He rested back on his chair again. The place was quiet and serene, just like he enjoyed it. "You're welcome to come as many times as you like, I'd say. I'm just not used to see people in here. Most of my colleagues find it unsettling and totally not worth the risk. Some of these chairs have been the object of some nasty prank-spells." again, the image of glued bottoms and growing pork tails flooded his mind and even though he wanted to laugh at the sight, the work they had been through after, discovering who did it wasn't something he found humor in anymore. "So, Dragons... how's that like? They're magnificent creatures. My son is completely fascinated with them." Mordred could feel that he was being observed. Of course, it didn't bother him since he has been under a magnifying glass since childhood. Nothing can beat the judging eyes of his grandfather. Always watching, always calculating. The dragonologist enjoyed the moment...it felt like, he was back in the Slytherin dungeon. With that, he decided that the man before him was worth his attention.
The 26 year old sat back and tapped the table with his fingers right after the introductions were over. Thomas Black, Unspeakable. Well, isn't it his lucky day today? His family knew a lot of Unspeakables, but were of course contained to his older peers. Everything was marked Classified with these people, and to be honest, Mordred could not wait for the day to meet one. The dragonologist's inner Slytherin stirred from the deepest pit of his soul. The Unspeakables are dead useful. A genuine grin graced the young man's face as he gave Thomas a nod, "You better get used to seeing me around here. This place reminds me so much of my old Hogwarts house. Just the right atmosphere for me to get my research going." Mordred did a quick sweep of his surroundings and tilted his head to the side. "I say these chairs add character to the place." And if he did get a pig's tail sprouting from his bottom, then he's off to prove his capability of doing a counter-jinx on himself.
And now...to a conversation that he can command any time of the day. "They are never boring. There's always something up with them. Different breeds, different temperaments, endless possibilities." Mordred quickly took a sip of his coffee and continued to talk to the man, "I'm currently doing a study about dragon dung, and how its powerful essence could be infused in our everyday diet. Like...coffee." Brilliant stuff. "Oh, is he? You should bring him to Level 4 some time. I've got 3 retrieved dragon eggs that are under observation. I'm giving it a month until it finally hatches. Should be a treat for him. Is he in Hogwarts now?" Maybe his son isn't so little anymore, no?
