He acknowledged that the other person in the room talked to him, but he allowed himself to finish his ritual before answering the man's question with a curious smirk "I do, I actually work on this level." he leaned back on his chair bringing his cup to his lips and taking a sip.

"How about you? I'm not sure I've seen you around here" he realized then that him walking around the room, picking out a chair and checking for dark magic might have looked.. curious to him. But, he didn't know these chairs had glued together bottoms in the past - the sick notion of a prank. Ungluing bottoms was not a funny thing.
Mordred leaned back on his chair as he placed his dark green coffee cup back on the table. The former Slytherin noted that some people would love to be in that place to relax, or get some more paper work done. Such people, he thought, just might be Slytherins from when they were students. The place resembled the dungeons, and eerily, its mysterious atmosphere. No wonder he liked his new discovery, except the mismatched chairs. Back in the day, they got black leather sofas, and exquisite arm chairs, of which, he could call his own until he got sent back to Durmstrang for his last year.

"I honestly thought you were from A&C." he said coolly, giving the man a slight smirk. "Mysteries, yes?" Mordred never understood their level. They pretty much live up to their Department's name. With a nod, the dragonologist sat straight on his chair. "I don't come here often, but I just might." he said, leaning forward and offered his hand to the man, "Mordred Mordaunt, Dragonologist from Magical Creatures." he purposefully left the word 'junior' because he hated the title. It made him feel inferior. Not that his seniors, William and Tancred bullied him on a daily basis. They were in fact, great colleagues, of which he would like to become some day. It's just that, he doesn't feel a junior dragonologist anymore. With his recent record in the ministry, he ought to be at least in his senior level already.
