The Time Room is a long rectangular room filled with bright and beautiful lights. Clocks can be seen on every surface around the room, sometimes making it difficult for people to remember what the actual time is. At one end of the room a large crystal bell jar stands, and it is from this what the bright light is coming from. Many Time-Turners rest in a ceiling to floor glass cabinet. This cabinet is magically protected, allowing only Unspeakables who work within this room to have access to the devices. This is to ensure that the Time-Turners are not destroyed again like they were during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries in 1996.

Work within the Time Room is split into three divisions: the time specialists who study the mystery that is time, the time manipulation specialists who study and experiment with the manipulation of time, and the Time-Turner specialists who manufacture and maintain time-travel devices such as Time-Turners.
