Today officially marked Liv's THIRD tournament duel...and one could say her excitement for the whole institution had decreased dramatically. After that last one against her cousin, she'd fell into sore!loserdom. DRAMATIC SORE!LOSERDOM. We're talking a sugar binge a mile long, and pouts that lasted for hours. The Gryffindor had long since discovered that she did NOT like to lose to anyone, but it seemed loads worse given it was to her stoooopid cousin. Okay, Katty wasn't really stoopid, BUT LIV WAS SOUR. The epitome of a sour patch kid. SHE'D HAD THAT DUEL IN THE BAG. IF ONLY SHE'D DEFLECTED THAT LAST SPELL. BLAST. BLAST BLAST.

So, she'd been practicing. Oh, yas, she HAD! Whenever she could, one could find the smol blonde reading some boring spell book or another, or waving her wand around in the hopes of perfecting a new spell. This wasn't going THAT great, let's be honest. Her lack of concentration was a real issue...BUT THERE WAS SOMETHING TO BE SAID ABOUT GRYFFINDOR DETERMINATION. Let us tell YOU something. Miss Olivia Lynn was enacting REVENGE TODAY...because if she quit, her mum would be super disappointed in her...because there was nothing worse than a quitter. Her mum's words. Not hers.

So, here she was, purposefully striding into the dueling ring, her uniform in fully place, with GLITTERY ADDITIONS. Her sparkly, BEAUTIFUL glitter was meant to give her STRENGTH TODAY. That's what it was there for, yes. She was also promising herself to PAY BETTER ATTENTION. Man, she did NOT want to lose again. Yes, it was all for fun, but losing didn't feel great, okay? It felt icky and gross. Liv didn't want to feel either icky or gross again. So...formally bowing like they were forced to in duels.....Olivia started with the the spell Char had taught her. The Feather-light charm. She was probably best at this spell given how often her friend had practiced it with her.

....and not to be TOO vengeful....

BUT THAT DUMB SPELL KATTY HAD TRIED AGAINST HER....THE GLUE-TO-THE-FLOOR ONE?!??! OH, YES, IT WAS COMING YOUR WAY, SMOL SLYTHERIN....because she'd been practicing it....A LOT. MORE THAN A LOT. EVERYDAY, MORE LIKE.

...but hai, yes, hai.
