His heart seemed to fall straight from his chest all the way into Hell. His hand dropped from her warm cheek. She wanted to break things off. . . he knew that this wasn't the ideal situation, but he couldn't imagine letting her go. . .

Oh Merlin, she had met Anya. He grimaced and ran his hand through his hair, "Yeah. . . meeting Anya isn't the best thing in the world. . . " Not by a long shot, "Did she try and threaten you or something?" He wouldn't put it past her. He just hoped that she didn't know that Fate was the girl. . . the girl whose perfume now lingered to his clothes. . . the girl he would leave her for. . . the girl he loved.

Where could this go? He wanted a life with Fate, he realized that now. But there was Anya and Mason. . . but he wanted Fate. "I want to be with you, Fate. So badly. . . do you want this? Fate smiled up at Seb as he spoke, and rubbed her hands.. His touch felt so good.. It was like she had come home.. He was home. All of her life she had been searching for something.. and she had found it.. In him..

"Yeah, I'm just a glorified assistant really.. but that's all I can expect from now.. Art teachers aren't a big thing in the ministry." She said as she shrugged her shoulders a bit.. "But it's good." She said with a warm smile, the people in her department were nice and she would get to see him more often! So that was what mattered!

Also food and making rent.. There was that too.

She watched as his hand fell from her cheek and she bit the inside of her lip a little as he looked at her. "Yeah, it wasn't the best thing.. She's.. interesting..Pretty." She whispered softly as she slowly shook her head.. "Well, I thought she might poison me or stab my eyes out with a fork, so I escaped as soon as I could.. I don't think she knew it was me though." She had even given her a fake name to further throw her off the scent.

She was completely silent as he spoke and her eyes were on the table as he explained everything.. It made her heart warm and beat faster when he said that he wanted her. She was still for several moments after he finished speaking.. Why did this have to be so hard? She was going to break up a family..But..

"Yes.. I do want to be with you." She said in a soft voice.. "Just promise me that we WILL be together fully one day? I don't want to be the "other woman" for my entire life." She said as she bit her lip and looked up at him..
