While the Ministry is busy about the International Youth Quidditch, Mordred took the opportunity to use it as cover to sneak out of his cubicle and into the Underground Coffee Club to work on his research about Dragon Coffee. Maybe he'd strike some inspiration here as well. Indie spots and creations within are typically so good and so underrated.
Also, he sent an informal note to one Oakey Richard Gunter up in A&C to meet him there. There's a lot to catch up on, and to be honest, he misses the guy. It may not be obvious, but Mordred does care for him. Especially now that he's heard rumours about...Ariana having a miscarriage. All are just gossip for now. Hopefully, the sad news is just a mean joke to trip everyone close to the couple.
Oakey may not be aware, but the dragonologist still kept him as his best friend. And as he considers himself his best bud, he ought to know...things and will help him in anyway that he can.
