Despite the rather insolent words, the tone was teasing and there was a wide smile on the tall lanky boy's face who stood there grinning at his parents.. Wes pushed his dark brown hair out of his dark purple eyes and smiled..

"Hey Mom, Dad.. I found this stray little kitten.. Can I keep it?" He asked with a giggle as he stepped aside and standing behind him was Azura! He had his hand firmly in his cousins hand.. Making sure she didn't trip.. cause they needed to make it down in one piece.. Also he thought it would be funny if Jace saw her holding hands with a guy.. So..

It was two fold!

Azura smiled happily up at her cousin as he stepped aside and she grinned at her aunt and Uncle. "Hey Aunt Andi, Uncle Thomas.. I'm so happy to see you!" And just like that.. She was hugging them tightly!

Thomas chuckled "Yes, yes, I'm a bear dad and I like my cubs where I can protect them..." he stretched his arms above his head playfully and let one of his arms fall around Andi's shoulders, snuggling her closer to his side "Hogwarts it's brutal. Have you even realized it? I mean, I never thought about it this way until Wes left on his first year, but he's away most of the year! Then he'll graduate and he'll be out of our house before we know it.." he sighed. Yes, Thomas had some of that empty nest syndrome at times.

He was kissing his wife back enthusiastically when they were interrupted by a somewhat disgusted Wes. Thomas couldn't hold the huge grin that spread on his face. Wes looked bigger, happy and Thomas grinned back, the corners of his eyes wrinkling. "Now now boy, don't talk like that about your mother" he teased back, giving Andi another squeeze and meaning to get up and hug his son when he said something about a kitten a Azura was flying from behind him and squeezing them both - Andi and him - in a bear hug too strong for such a little girl.

"Az, you've grown!" Thomas exclaimed in disbelief ruffling Azura's hair playfully after giving her a welcoming hug back. He managed to get up, leaving the two purple eyed ladies to them selfs and pulled Wes into his own version of a bear hug ruffling his hair mercilessly, which he was sure would earn him another "Daaaaaaaaad!".

"You do know you're not supposed to date your cousin right?" he teased patting his son's back as he brought him closer to the table, referring to the two of them holding hands "There's a castle full of girls over there, no need to keep it in the family.." he teased further winking at Andi and Wes. He knew Azura got all flustered about boys. He remembered when she was younger and had a whole folder of her favorite artists and bands under her bed which Wes - being Wes - made sure to tease her as much as he could.
