SPOILER!!: Fate <3

Fate should have been strong, she should have said no when Seb asked her out to lunch, after the encounter with his wife yesterday.. She bit her lip a little as she leaned against the wall of the cafeteria.. Her silvery green eyes had already spotted Seb as he moved to a table.

She felt her heart skip several beats as she looked at him..

Merlin.. He was most likely going to be the literal death of her.

But she couldn't say no.. So she moved from her spot on the back wall and walked towards him, clad today in a green pencil skirt, a white button up blouse and green heels.. Her hair was still up in it's neat bun.. Appropriate for work she thought..

She softly slid into a seat across from Seb and she gave him a soft smile. "Hey you."

A wide-grin spread across Seb's face when he saw Fate. Merlin. Even in her work-clothes she looked absolutely stunning. Just the sound of her voice set his heart aflutter. "Hello, Beautiful."

He reached across the table and put one of his hands over one of her small ones and gave it a small squeeze. He looked into those gorgeous eyes of hers. . . Seb felt like he could drown in those eyes. He was already enchanted by them, so what would a little drowning hurt? He just imagined what it would be like if he could wake up to those eyes every single day for the rest of his life. . . Silver and Green instead of Murk and Blue.

He shook the thought from his head. Here he was fantasising about a future that may never even come. . . he didn't even know if Fate wanted a future like that. She was still young and at the beginning of her life. . . she deserved someone who didn't have as much baggage as Seb did, a man that didn't have a wife and a kid and a screwed up life. She deserved much more, and all he could give her was heartbreak. . . but even the thought of Fate with another man made his blood boil.

He gave her hand another squeeze before removing his. Seb slid his hand into one of the pockets of his suit-jacket and pulled a long grey-box from it. "I got you this. . . I know it isn't much, but it reminded me of you," he slid he box across the table, "I know that not even diamonds and emeralds can make up for the pain that I've caused you. . . but I hope that this shows you how sorry I am."

Seb lifted his hand to her cheek, "I never want to hurt you again. And I will try my best not to. . . because, I-I don't want to lose you Fate. . ." he said with a sad smile, "And I know that you deserve better than the likes of me, but. . . I can't let you go."
