Hide and seek...magical hide and seek, teacher addition! This sounded like a blast. Hadley's smile faltered a little when Tanner faded away. A pang of envy ran through her. Penelope had taught Haddie and a bunch of other first years the disillusionment spell, and naturally she was able to cast it...exactly once. That night she'd cast the spell without a single issue, and it had been easy and she hasn't been able to cast it since. No matter how much she tried to cast it, she remained perfectly visible. And she had tried a lot.
Stupid advanced magic.
Rachel's voice pulled Hadley away from her pining at the charm Professor Tanner had, successfully of course, cast on herself. The blonde nodded and followed after her best friend...until she was sure they were out of earshot of the professor. "Rachel, wait." Hadley crept silently over to her best friend, eyeing the fog that Rachel seemed determine to avoid. Fog so thick, you couldn't see anything through it. Fog that would put them on equal footing as Tanner...
Hadley wasn't sure where Rachel was heading, but by the looks of it, the tower maybe. And then what? Should Tanner check out the towers looking for students, they'd be trapped and easy pickings. "Let's be smart about this...I think we should hide in a fog bank, or one of the alleys." Provided, of course, that said alley didn't dead end. "
She won't be able to see us in either of those. She'll have to rely on sound, same as us, to find us. We'll be on equal footing."
