Reading the instructions, Brooklyn narrowed her eyes a little. It really didn’t seem much like they were crushing anything, when the step said they were just supposed to crush the sprigs enough to increase the surface area. In fact, it seemed more like they were supposed to be flattening the sprigs. Not crushing them. However, she still got her cleaned mortar and pestle out and set the sprigs inside the former. She’d just have to be careful. Even if for the most part, aside from the occasional glance toward him, she was generally not paying attention to the demonstration.
