Thankfully, Tywin had stopped complaining somewhere between the lesson having begun and the instructions. Honestly, Brooklyn wouldn’t have had a problem silencing her cat if he hadn’t stopped on his own, but it was amusing to see him sitting there regally just eyeing the other animals in the room. It was like he thought that if he acted like this, nobody would remember the complaining, and that was so much like her that she had to hide a grin. Something told her that getting a glimpse into his mind wouldn’t really be that surprising to her. Provided they didn’t end up with tainted ingredients again.

The nervous tic in Professor Newton’s voice hardly made her trust him any more than she had when she’d come into the classroom, yet she still made her way to the front to collect the necessary ingredients in their little dishes, along with the syringes and measuring spoons allotted. At least she’d be prepared, as she always tried to be when it came to potions lessons. Of course, she Scourgified everything before she did anything else, like adding the potion steps into her journal. She wasn’t stupid, and she wasn’t planning on accidental poisoning yet again. Once everything was cleaned, she set her cauldron over the burner. Time to measure out the six cups of water, carefully gathered using Aguamenti.

As long as Tywin kept behaving, she didn’t think she needed to worry about him.
SPOILER!!: notes
Animal Whisperer Potion
a potion allowing the user to get a glimpse into an animal’s mind. More likely to work with a familiar rather than a common animal, but still useful either way.
6 cups water
15 fresh Belladonna leaves
3 dried Fluxweed sprigs, roughly crushed in mortar and pestle (picked during a full moon, and dried over one week)
0.5mL Wormwood essence
2Tbsp Lacewing flies
1tsp honey
1tsp water
0.1mL Boomslang venom
1 crushed Unicorn Horn
1 cup of Armadillo Bile
15g Ginger, crushed
1 Shrivelfig, scooped out seeds
1 measure of your animal

1. Add 6 cups of water to you cauldron, and light a small flame. Simmer the water for 5 minutes to slowly heat to an appropriate temperature
2. Pluck the 15 leaves of Belladonna from the sprigs, will need approximately 2 sprigs, and add them to the cauldron once five minutes is up
3. Gather the 3 sprigs of dried Fluxweed, and roughly crush in mortar and pestle. Only enough to increase the surface area, then add to the cauldron
4. Simmer for a further 3 minutes
5. Stir with a wooden stirrer, three times, clockwise
