Fluttery Pegasi "You have to ask?" Haddie grinned at her Eagle bestie. She angled Charlie's handle down, but the broom resisted her, as if he didn't want to land anymore than she did. This made Haddie grin even more. She and this broom were simpatico. "Chuck ol' boy, when I get my own broom, I hope it's just like you. But if we don't do as instructed we might have to sit out the rest of the lesson."
The broom reluctantly descended to the ground and in a second or two, Hadley's feet were back on the ground. Okay, that's plenty of ground time. After all, Professor Tanner did say to practice taking off and landing a few times. Haddie kicked off, angling the handle up, and was airborne again with ease. And back down for a landing. Up in the air again. And back down. Up again. "Wheeeeeee!" It was a pure and childlike squeal of fun as much as it was Haddie just being silly old Haddie. "I feel like I'm on one of those grocery store rocket rides." Put a quarter in and the little rocket ship goes up and down for a few minutes. She used to love those things.
