"I won't do anything bad. I promise!" He didn't want to get Flamsteed in trouble with the other professors, because then he might not teach him more magic like this. That was reason enough to not get in trouble ever, honestly. He bounced on the tips of his toes, and reached for the tennis ball excitedly. "I hope it's more this time..."

He tossed the ball into the air and watched it float down. It wasn't as fast as it was the previous time, but it wasn't as slow as it would have been in the classroom either. He looked up at the professor expectantly. Where were they now, professor?!
Reminding himself that that there was absolutely nothing wrong with encouraging curiosity - it was practically written in the job description of being a professor, after all - the astronomer tapped his nose in reply to the first year's promise. "Just be clear of your intent and the magic should resonate accordingly," he instructed softly. The boy had done well thus far, after all.

And look at that!

Grinning, the astronomy offered the young man two very enthusiastic thumbs up. "Stellar work, Mr. Song," he praised. "I know that it may not seem like much, but you have made great progress with this little bit of magic today."
