"Cool." Haddie smiled warmly at the other Ravenclaw firstie. "You'll let me know if you find out right?" She continued to play with Wimple for a bit longer, then took out another beetle. The owl eager scarfed it down and watched intently as Haddie passed another to Azura to give to Snowy. Once the lid was on the jar again, she scratched Wimple under his beak. He hooted contently. "Okay Fluffypants McGee. Time for us to get back to the Ravenclaw tower."

The owl hooted in protest, stretching and folding his wings in mild agitation so it looked like he was gesturing wildly in argument. "Ah!" Haddie warned. Wimple quieted immediately but glanced downward in a way that gave the owl the air of a pouty child trying to lay it on real thick to get their parents to cave. Haddie, however, had mastered that trick when she was two, and was immune to it. "You know I'll be back soon, ya big doofy." Wimple gave it one last shot, doubling down on the pouty child expression, but when he saw it wasn't working he gave up and gave her a goodbye nuzzle. Then he stretched out his wings and took flight, fading back into the throngs of owls perched up there.

"I'm heading back. You coming or staying a bit longer?"
