  • Alihosty leaves (fresh, 5g)
  • billywig stings (dried, 2)
  • erumpant tongue (powdered, a pinch)
  • armadillo bile (5 mL)

Instructions:
  • Stew Alihosty leaves in simmering water for 20 minutes.
  • Remove all traces of the leaves and return water to a boil.
  • Add dried billywig stings and erumpant stings and allow to boil for 10 minutes, continuously stirring counterclockwise.

  • Add leechjuice and stir 20 times, counterclockwise.
  • Potion should be light brown in color. Pour into vials for indefinite storage.

Magical Fireworks

Use/Effect:
Magical fireworks do not require flames to be ignited, and are really little explosions of magic. Once created, they are much safer to use than their muggle equivalents

Ingredients:
  • Water
  • Big handful of dried flakes of Salamander skin
  • One jalapeno pepper
  • a dash of sheep bile
  • three grains of salt
  • A tab or wick
  • Tissue paper (whatever colors you please)

Instructions:
  • Fill Cauldron with water
  • Bring it to a boil
  • Add dried flakes of Salamander skin
  • Dice and add one jalapeno pepper to your potion
  • Stir 13 times anti clockwise
  • Add a dash of sheep bile. This will make your potion turn gray and become the consistency of liquid concrete, so it will be harder to stir.
  • add three grains of salt
  • stir 4 times clockwise until malleable
  • Mold into a form (any you'd like)
  • Put the tab or wick into the firework
  • Wrap it in the coloured paper

Emotional Change Potion

Effect: A half-dark potion that makes the drinker feel one of these emotions: Happiness, sadness, excitement, fear, tenderness, anger.

Ingredients
  • Two sprigs of lovage
  • 4 mistletoe berries
  • 4 measures of fluxweed
  • 2 measures of boomslang skin
  • Ten newt larvae
Happiness: 3 Alihotsy leaves
Sadness: A teaspoon of glumbumble treacle
Excitement: Half a handful of ferret fur
Fear: A scoop of black flies
Tenderness: 2 teaspoons of dog saliva
Anger: 7 hippogrif feathers

Instructions
Fill halfway with pure water
Slowly lower your wand as if you're drawing a straight, vertical line with your wand and say Apto pressura (wand movement: straight, vertical line onto the cauldron)
Heat to 100 degree celcius and keep the heat at 100 and ONLY 100 AT ALL TIMES
Chop the lovage well and add it
Wait for 5 seconds
Add the berries right after 5 seconds
Cut the fluxweed leaves in three pieces and add
With a wooden stick, stir once clockwise, once counter clockwise and alternate like that for 7 times: so the total number of stirs is 14
CHECKPOINT: It should be muddy, but not smelly.
Add boomslang skin and wait for 5 minutes
Add the larvae
CHECKPOINT: It should be completely clear like clean water
Happiness: Add 3 Alihotsy leaves and laugh as loudly as you can at a happy memory
Sadness: Think of the saddest moment in your life while adding a teaspoon of glumbumble treacle
Excitement: Sprinkle half a handful of ferret fur and stir it as quickly as you can in the clockwise direction until the fur completely dissipates (usually takes 30-45 seconds)
Fear: Squish a scoop of flies well in the mortar and add it
Tenderness: Gently add 2 teaspoons of dog saliva without any splashes
Anger: Throw 7 hippogrif feathers in as if you're angry at something and they are your relief

Mel glanced up at her curly haired friend and grinned. Of course it was her choice to find something to make…oh please don’t laugh at this she thought for a moment before indicating to the notebook next to her. “take a look I found a few in my sisters books that could be interesting?” She shrugged and pushed the books closer to Tenacius.

“I actually want to invent a potion one day…” she admitted with a grin, “a mix between the babbling potion and the truth potion? One were it makes people just say the truth and babble about it” she shrugged “could be fun…or dangerous but most likely would be fun” she shrugged and turned to look at the gas pipes.

“Yeah…but do they have an ignition thingy?” She asked looking closer at the piping “maybe incendio is like the wizarding equivalent of a match?...which if it is I feel really sorry for Muggles, they are missing out.” She nodded and tipped her head at Ace for a moment before turning to her potions supplies and cleaning them again it wasn’t like she was meticulous, not really, she just needed to remember to do certain things and well, didn’t want to ask about things…despite if she knew people would want to know.
