For the faintest moment, she lost sight of the lift they were heading to but that was quickly fixed with a bit more shoving. "First Day. Right. I sometimes forget that MLE's the only one that works right through the holiday." This wasn't her first day, or her second or even her third. Nah, Lex had BEEN here. "The trick is to get here before the regular nine to fivers. Outside of that, you gotta make good with the security guys so you can cut ahead--but I never said that."
Fate was an interesting sort of thing to be named. So...final. "I'm Lex." And the question of the hour. "What Level are you on?"
Fate let out a soft laugh as Lex told her about her Kneazle, she wanted a pet now, though she actually needed to have money to feed it! So perhaps later when she wasn't so broke and starving. Though the mention of Spanish cuisine had Fate's mouth watering slightly. She wondered how long it would be before she could eat out.. and not have to eat tinned everything!
"Sounds like he has good taste! I love Spanish food." She said as she stood on her tiptoes to make sure they were going the right way. Drat being short!! She could barely see through the crush of people!
"Ohh, you have to work through the Holiday?" That sort of sucked but of course they would probably have too! And wait.. MLE? Magical Law Enforcement? Wasn't that where Seb was going to work? She nodded as they moved through the sea of people. 'Thanks, I'll make a note of that." Both things really.. because she liked to sleep, so there was that.
"It's nice to meet you Lex and I'm going to Level 3." She responded. She hoped she sounded confident, because she only thought that was where she was going! She wasn't exactly sure really. But she was going to go with that.. Follow her instinct and all.. |
