But here she was stuck in a sea of people waiting to get to their level! At least she was in the building? Did that count? She sighed softly as she looked around and then she was bumped by another girl who seemed like she was late as well..

"Late too?" She asked as she tried to move over so the girl could get in front of her..It wouldn't be easy due to the crush of people but one less person late for work was a good thing.
In all the bumping, Alexa didn't expect to have words actually uttered at her--you know, outside of the typical 'watch where you're going!' and 'stop shoving. Bloody hell!'. This actually had her pausing a moment. Late. Um. "Sorta." Came her only reply at first. There was no harm admitting it. This person she'd never seen before and unless she was on patrol would never see again. "Reckon I can still make it on time if I hit the lift before the majority of the Ministry decides to grab 'em." Otherwise, she stood the risk of being swept from floor to floor and Department to Department before actually being allowed onto Level 2.

"Could'a been earlier but my kneazle pulled a vanishing act and I dread to think he's gone off and eaten my neighbour's canary." But look at her standing there as if she had all the entire day to shoot the breeze! It simply wouldn't do. This other girl was late too, yeah? Better get a move on then.

Thinking very little of it, Lex took hold of her wrist and began shoving her way through the crowd again. "Got an earful from the old lady the last time he tried and I don't reckon I'd like another so find him I did. Just didn't think it'd take so long." Could have saved her a lot of trouble if he'd been on the roof she'd made comfy for him. JUST saying.

"What about--" Alexa suddenly ducked under the outstretched hand of a man trying to grab the attention of a colleague nearby, hoping her company had quick enough reflexes to do the same, "you?"
