She just didn’t particularly care about the same things, not when there was power to be had. Proving herself to the professors only gave her that much more power, and as such, she wouldn’t give up. She just also wasn’t planning on getting dirty while doing it.

“Carpe Retractum!,” she cast again, aiming the whip-like motion of her wand toward the lake and preferably a group of seahorses within. The familiar orange glow snaked out and into the water, as if it was a fishing line, and all she had to do was hope that it hit something. She wasn’t going to lose her focus this time.
