He had to get a seahorse. He had to. The fish flopped around behind him, now on the ground, and Jaemin gave it a disdainful look. Why wasn't it a seahorse?! He very gently nudged it back toward the water with his toe as it flipped and flopped; as soon as it was in deep enough, it disappeared back into the depths, and he sighed. At least it wasn't the pike.
"One more time," he grumbled, holding his wand up and setting himself in his proper stance. He had to get one, he just... had to. He performed the whip movement and called out the spell again. "Carpe Retractum!"
Light string into the water again, and the small boy pulled back on it insistently. There was something attached again... he pulled harder, and it flew to shore. The very small seahorse flopped around, and Jaemin stared at it in surprise for a good long moment when it hit the ground. It was actually a seahorse! It was there!
WAIT. These things flew! Jaemin grabbed the thing up immediately, holding it gently before putting it carefully into his jar. He had gotten one! He put his hands over the top of the jar, just in case it was going to try and escape. He couldn't have that happening. Not until the professor saw that he'd managed to catch one! |
