Well. WELL. What was the point of coming to class if you weren't going to get the thing done??? Matt had LEARNED a new spell and he wanted to see it WORKING. Even though he had to catch some awful ~~yet not so awful because tiny seahorses~~ water creature.

"Right, come on." He said as he shifted his weight from one leg to the other, eventually settling on a balanced standing position, READY to cast the spell PROPERLY. The first time he hadn't really meant it. "Carpe Retractum!" WHOOPAH!

OH, SOMETHING HAPPENED IN THE WATER, MATT SAW IT!! It hadn't been a Flying Seahorse coming his way or anything - that was what he supposed that would happen, at least - but the water splashed at the exact point he was staring at. It was either his spell that had done that, some other kid's spell or some ~~evil~~ water creature decided to move around that area just as Matt cast the spell.

There was no way Matt would figure out which of the options had happened, so he shrugged again. He liked to think it had been his spell, so there. It had been his spell then. Heh!
