Oh! Rachel was sitting on Mr. Kitridge's shoulder! Heh. Haddie was gonna sit on his head then. She flew back down the length of the Ravenclaw table, doing a barrel roll or two, when suddenly she wasn't flying anymore. She was falling, mid-barrel roll and landed hard on her back on the Ravenclaw table. Her mouth opened to speak or cry out, but no sound came. Then she coughed. "Ow-w-w..." Reaching behind her she pulled out a goblet she had landed on and winced, tossing it aside. Ow.
Haddie rolled slowly off the side of the table and rested on the ground a moment before pulling herself up again. It was the third time she was covered in food, and the year wasn't even half over. "Hey, Mr. K." She groaned. Then picked up a cupcake and held it out for him. "Cupcake?" Munching happily on his breakfast Leo watched as the canary that were currently sitting atop his right shoulder was playing in the air, doing barrel rolls. Unfortunately for the canary it started to transform back into a student mid air. Said student then crash-landed badly moments later on top of the Ravenclaw house table.
Leo stared at Hadley Denaker as she groaned, coughed, slid off the table and then got to her feet covered in food for he didn't know what order in the year. Tilting his head to the side he asked concerned. "Are you all right Haddie? That was a high fall." as he carefully put the teacup he was holding down on the table he shook his head in response to the offered cupcake. "No thank you. You should eat the cupcake yourself. As quickly as she could, Rachel hopped down from Mr Kitridge's shoulder and onto the spot beside him. She was in the nick of time too for a second later, an eleven year old girl with dark brown hair and eyes was sitting at the table. ''Haddie! Are you alright?'' She looked at her friend in concern before smiling at Mr Kitridge. "Good morning, Mr Kitridge. You should eat breakfast more often at this table.'' She liked being in his company. The canary on his shoulder had luckily for Leo witnessed what was happening to its friend and managed to hop down from his shoulder and down on the seat beside him before it started to change back. It could have turned out very badly for him if a student had landed with its full weight on his shoulder. Leo would have needed to go see Cece to get it fixed. Turning to the ex-canary girl beside him that turned out to be Rachel Watson, which Leo should probably have guessed it to be.
Smiling at the first year he said "Morning Rachel, thank you for acting so swiftly. I don't know how it would have ended if you had changed back to yourself on top of my shoulder for either of us." Drinking a mouthful of tea he shrugged. "You think I should? Won't that hinder your breakfast chatter then?" Would the students really want a staffer sitting with them, listening into their conversations?
