Kitty worked out the problem quickly and it sent them all the way back downstairs to the first floor. "I think that Professor Tanner is trolling us," she said in amusement. They could have been sent to the dungeons...

"Hopefully it's somewhere around here..." Esme said as she looked along the corridor.

"Good idea. I bet she knows everything about the castle." And like all ghosts the Grey Lady could float through things. She might even be willing to float through the Tapestry to see what was on the other side if Kitty and Tia asked politely.

They walked through the corridor and around the portraits before comin to the Weasley Swamp. Kitty had only been to the swamp twice before (both last year) - the first time she had stumbled upon it accidentally and the second time she had come to check for worms.

"I think you're right about Tanner trolling us," said Kitty, pointing to the note floating above the swamp. "At least it wasn't hard to find." Now they could go back to class.
