"So that was just defense spells! I didn't even do any attacking spells.. I don't know any of those actually, Stupefy and Expelleramus.. aren't spells we are learning this year.. So I'll need some help with those and any other attacking or defense spells you know that might help me out." She said with a nod..
Obviously practicing by herself wasn't working so well.
Austin pondered for a minute. He decided to create a list, similar to a potions recipe. The first step would be to work on her defense. If that's what she had done in practice, then she was more versed in that than anything else.
"Let's start with defense then." He walked over to the center of the room, and motioned for her to do the same. As long as he didn't have to deal with dummies, or being attacked, maybe this wouldn't be so bad.
"The one thing you should remember, is to use the spells you do know. If you're ever in battle, it's easier to use spells that you can rely on, than risk something new." The words coming out of his mouth, shocked even him. He hadn't been that great at Defense Against the Dark Arts, and would be bad in a duel; hence not signing up for the club. But hopefully that didn't show too much.
"Why don't you show me what you did during the club? Don't cast any spells yet, just sort of go through a step by step."
