Finally, Professor Newton gave the ok for the antidote to be administered. "Alright Hugo, one antidote coming up." Janelle wasn't sure that her partner would be able to keep the liquid down, given the way he was looking. She hoped for the best, as she cleaned her cup and vial.

When everything was clean, Janelle filled her cup with potion and handed it to Hugo. "Bottoms up. You should feel better soon." She put the remaining potion in her clean vial and stoppered it. Now it was her turn and Janelle was not excited about it. Reluctantly, she went to the front of the class to get her elixir.

Going back to her work area, Janelle checked on her partner. "Are you feeling any better yet?" As she kept her eye on Hugo, Janelle took a deep breath and raised the cup to her lips. "Cheers", she said. As she tasted the liquid, Janelle gave a shudder. It was definitely nasty. Now she just had to wait for the bad stuff to kick in.
