Rachel giggled as she ran from the Barn to the Creature Play Area. There was a crup in tow. Actually, it was chasing her. She was mighty happy that Professor Draper allowed them to play with the creatures. Earlier today, she had been missing her puppy, Barkley, whom she had to leave behind so she had decided to come out to see the creatures that lived in the Hogwarts Barn.
She paused, turning to look around at the crup whose name was Spot. "Oh, no! Spot has almost caught up with me!'' With another giggle, the Eagle resumed her running, her two plaits merrily bouncing against her shoulders as Spot barked behind and continued to chase her. ''This is exactly like playing with Barkley at home,'' Rachel thought. ''Except that Spot has a forked tail.'' |
