The young boy wanted to gag, but he thought it would be rude. The Ravenclaw tried his best not to look at her cauldron, and gently tapped her shoulder. "The potion is done. We just have to wait two more minutes for it to settle, and it's ready to go." Merlin, his partner really didn't look so good. Jace took one of his beakers, filled it with water, "Aguamenti." and filled it half-way, "Finite." Is the two minute waiting time over? Nope. It's not even close to half a minute. "Here, you should drink some water." he said offering the beaker to Elsa. Tea would be better, but alas, he didn't have any in his person.

Jace looked at the professor, catching his smile. The Ravenclaw grinned and nodded along in understanding as the old man confirmed his assumption. So the other ingredients are to reinforce the bezoar, and make it a super potion to counter most, if not all poisons. Jace took the last few seconds to write down quick notes on his parchment. As soon as he was done, he took a pinch of unicorn horn, added it to his solution, and stirred it twice clockwise.

1...2.

Jace took two mistletoe berries from his supplies, but paused when he heard Elsa speak up again...and heard the sloshing sound of her...puke inside the cauldron. Jace tried not to make a face, but...he did.

Eugh.

It brought him back to his healer days.

"Here, it should cure you now." he said, smiling at his partner. "Go on." He then turned to get a smaller sample into his vial, labelled it properly, and settled the small bottle down on his workstation.

More information was being revealed to them, and Jace took down more notes on his parchment. So far, he didn't have any questions so he obediently put down his quill, put his notes aside, and came up to the table to choose his elixir. While he did so, he was still wary about the Professor's rat. How can that thing sit on a table, right? Merlin.

Jace snatched a cup, returned to his workstation, and smiled back to his partner. "Well, here I go..." The Ravenclaw slowly raised the cup to his mouth...smelled it, and without second thoughts...drank everything. Little did he know that he was doomed...for the rest of the school year at least.

...

Well?

Elsa smiled with struggle at Jace's joke and leaned into his cool hand as he searched for horn tips. She was feeling SO HOT and cold at the same time, which meant she had a fever as well. Peachy!

Professor Art cleaned her cauldron, and she was quick to fill it again.

She blinked a few times trying to keep concentrated on Jace and making a conversation, but time seemed to be stretching and speeding like a rubber band. She couldn’t distinguish what he was saying to her but she understood it was almost ready so Elsa kept nodding, seeing him work full speed to provide her with the antidote. As she spotted Jace’s beaker being offered to her, she took it gladly and drank in big gulps. At least the water seemed to cool her throat a little, allowing her to see clearer for a few moments.

It's done! Apparently. Relief filled Elsa's lungs as she took a deep breath and picked up the vessel eagerly. No more poison to her, ever. This was not as fun as she would have hopped. By now she had removed jumper and cloak, wearing only her sweat drenched shirt underneath her lab coat. Her hair was in a tight know on the top of her head but sweat beads kept falling from her temples and she kept brushing them back with her sleeve. She had a faint green undertone and blinked way too many times to be natural. Plus the swaying. All the swaying was making her crazy.

ENOUGH WITH THE ROCKING BOAT PLEASE, she wanted to scream. So she gulped the potion quickly, anticipating the relief it would bring her. Her head snapped to the side “This will t-take some time?” she asked Jace, confirming what the teacher had said. Merlin, she had no time now, Jace downed his potion like a pro, and in no time he would be feeling like something a troll dragged in, like she did. She had to start working on the antidote now. After all she owned him that, he did everything he could to keep her comfortable, now it was her turn. Plus, soon she would feel much better. It was only a matter of minutes really.

She pulled her sleeves up, rubbed her eyes hard and looked at the blackboard for confirmation.

Ok, you can do this.

She threw her bezoar into her mortar, grabbed the pestle as strongly as she could, keeping the mortar close to her body and began crushing it into what she hoped would be a very, very fine powder. Her hand kept slipping from the pestle, and this was looking harder than Jace had made it seem, but she had to, for Jace’s sake. “Crush, crush, crush away..” she tried saying with humor, but it came out rather sinister instead. She was sure Professor Art wouldn’t let them all die.. would he?
