| Post 3.5/1 (aka drinking the antidote and starting to brew/gather ingredients) Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict She knew Hady had said two minutes, but those two minutes seemed like they had gone on forever to Brooklyn. Not that she’d really moved much in those two minutes, seeing as she was still trying to tamp down the symptoms as much as possible. Of course, she was thankful that the poison hadn’t made her act crazy, like a few people it had been hard not to notice even with her face still hidden in her knees. While her eyesight was still foggy, her hearing was excellent, and she’d identified that song the Gryffindor she’d been paired off with for the portrait lesson quite easily. Having a sister who liked the Beatles helped. She wasn’t about to let anyone know she’d recognized it though. She didn’t sing, even when she wasn’t feeling horrible.
She hadn’t even looked up as Professor Newton had spoken, instructing them to take the antidotes and then to switch places. Part of her was still concerned that something was going to go wrong, just because it was Hogwarts and things always seemed to go sideways at some point. The hag couldn’t be the only weird thing this term. She still trusted Hady, she just didn’t trust everything else. She’d drunk the antidote once her housemate had given it to her, getting a bit frustrated when it didn’t seem to act right away.
No, she’d had to find her way up to the front to collect her ingredients while still feeling like everything was spinning. Feeling actual sympathy for Hady as she knew she would be expected to drink the poison now. That and feeling like the professor’s career wasn’t going to last long if he ended up poisoning an entire classroom of students, if the antidote didn’t start working soon. She just had to hope that the glimpse she’d gotten of the instructions once she’d gotten close enough to the blackboard would be good enough, since she’d given up on her vision clearing. She’d just have to trust her skills. Thankfully, she didn’t have to cut anything.
