Kitty paled in apprehension at the professor's words. It brought back bad memories of a very similar class in Romania she had taken. Back then she had been too scared to drink the potion (which made you vomit), and so she had volunteered to make the anti-dote. Unfortunately she had been very bad at it, and the teacher had to intercede to heal her partner for her.
"I can take the potion if you want," Kitty said to Tia, eager to avoid a repeat performance. "I bet you have a lot of experience and would probably do a better job than I would."Being poisoned might have sounded like worse deal, but all it required of her was that she drink it and wait to be cured. Probably the worst that would happen would be that she felt dizzy. She brought the cup back to their work area and waited apprehensively. |
