She tried to hide her giggles as she looked at Wimple.. "You are pretty too!" She said as she tried to compliment the owl.. "Snowy's mine you see." She tried to explain.. but all she got was the owl's back...

All the while, Snowy was sitting calmly on her shoulder and nuzzling it's head into her ear..

He hooted softly at Haddie as she petted him and Azure smiled..

"He likes you!

Haddie shook her head, but smiled. "Save your breath. Wimple knows Snowy is your owl and that I won't be replacing him, he's just being possessive of me. Isn't that right?" In reply Wimple seemed to be suddenly fixated on the wooden beams of the ceiling. If he could whistle, he'd be doing so. Haddie rolled her eyes and found a seat. "I didn't pick Wimple out. He was a birthday gift from my neighbor last year. They picked him out because he reminded them of me apparently," she almost seemed proud of that. "But we had an instant connection." She watched Wimple pretend he wasn't paying attention lovingly for a minute.

Then she unscrewed the lid on the beetles and took one out. Wimple's head snapped around to watch. He scooted closer to Haddie and nuzzled her cheek before taking the offered beetle eagerly. Haddie took out a second beetle and offered it to Azzy. "Would Snowy like one?"
