•○ABOUT DESMOND○•

Personality: Desmond is all about sports. He was born into a family highly enthusiastic about Quidditch, and that enthusiasm definitely didn't escape him. He basically went through Hogwarts doing well in his classes, so he would qualify to try out for the house team each year. Deep down inside, he really does care about other subjects and tried hard just on the off-chance Quidditch didn't work out for him. He loves to create from scratch, which contributes to his interest in combining Potions and Herbology. This is more of a side hobby for him, though. He has plans to create a new potion some day, but his notes are basically gathering dust and have been since he was about seventeen. He's not married and has no children but he definitely wants a family one of these days. When he's not working or getting involved in Quidditch, he likes to hang out with his friends and try to have fun without landing himself in trouble. Although he's probably grown out of being a prankster in his mid-twenties, he always likes to get a good laugh out of joking around with his friends. Don't be surprised to find him with feet kicked up on his desk while reading a Quidditch magazine and totally clueless as to why this is probably not acceptable on the job.

•○HISTORY○•
History: Desmond was born to unwed parents who had recently split, prompting his mother to give him her last name on he day he was born. Years later, his parents reunited, but Desmond kept the last name Greingoth and continues to do so to this day. He learned how to ride a broom at a young age thanks to his Uncle Alexander. He grew up dreaming of becoming a professional Quidditch player and pretty much attended Hogwarts (2073-2080) with the mindset that he needed to do well in school to remain eligible to keep his position on the house team. He graduated in 2080 with excellent marks and was soon recruited by the Montrose Magpies.

As the team already consisted of veteran players and no starting positions were available, Desmond was only able to play reserve keeper for the three years he was on the team (2080-2083). Instead of playing a fourth year, he decided to settle down with a more permanent job and left his life of living on the road traveling from game to game. He decided that the next best thing to being on a professional Quidditch team was being able to work behind the scenes. This prompted him to seek a degree at Wizarding University in the field of Quidditch Regulations, Relations, and Management (2083-2087).

Upon graduating, he applied for a position at the British Ministry of Magic in hopes of getting a position in the Department of Magical Games and Sports.
