Stuck inside with Sirius | *Splish-Splash* | bamBAM | ☁ Spooktacular ☁
Of course she was on to something, Mr. Kitridge. Sometimes there wasn't much else to be doing than sitting on a rooftop with your rat on one side, and a stray cat on the other. It didn't have to be chaos, though she could see how it might be.
Was it a zoo in the tower? She couldn't really say, given she'd never actually been into one. "I ain't actu'ly count'd sir, to be 'onest. I'd say dere's a one teh one ratio of 'umans, familiars and furreh fings though, if I 'ad teh guess." And truthfully, she didn't know of anyone that had taken more than one creature from their party. "It's jus' more variety dan I'm used teh."
She smiled as she thought of this morning's cooked breakfast, and nodded to confirm the food was delicious. She'd miss it at Christmas, for sure. "Nah, I ain't. I didn't know yeh could." She thought about where she'd already explored, and briefly wondered how she could have missed it before remembering the maze that the Hogwarts castle seemed to be. "Can yeh tell me 'ow to get there?" Maybe she could hoard a few things to take back with her.
She sipped her hot chocolate as he explained the difference between the two books. "So, 'ow'd I look a fing up in the dict-thingy-majig if I dunno 'ow teh spell it?" Or was it super clever and you could just speak aloud the thing you were looking for to the phonetics book to find out how to spell it first? Regardless, she was sure it'd be easier when he showed her tomorrow.
As for her choice in reading material? "I'd tell yeh if I 'ad that dicti-a-whatty to understand what a female pro-somefing was." She shrugged. "I like girl 'eroines dough." Like when her Pa had made up stories with her in them when she was little. He never had time to do that anymore.
