Like when he played with his action figures in his office and there came a knock at the door.

Oh sweet solstice nooooooooooo don't put it away! It had been the first time in a LONG while that he had seen the young man holding his wand with intent. Not just intent but ALSO execution. "There is absolutely no need to put that away, Mr. Blaise," he assured the Gryffindor as he slid down the wall to sit beside him. Seemed a bit...awkward and counterproductive to stand there looming over him. "You have no idea how relieved and please I am to see you taking it upon yourself to practice on your own." So really, take that back out and have pride in wielding it.

"What was it you were practicing just now?"

Pieces of the puzzle that was Mr. Blaise class schedule? Still not entirely falling into place. Yet.

By the time the Professor slid down into the seat next to him, Blaise was convinced the man was trying to lower him into a false sense of security before stunning him and hauling him off to his charms lesson. The man had never done it before but what if this was it? What if he'd driven him to excessive force and would have to reap that however it went? Protesting would surely be out, with him unable to speak. He might just wake up staring at the big, bald headed man with no memory of how he got there.

And there were more words making no sense given the context. Pleased? Relieved? What honestly was he meant to make of thi--OOOHHHHH.

Well. Now he had an entirely different reason for having stashed his book and wand. "It's not something I prefer to do when others are watching. Kinda...keeps the pressure off getting it right, you know?" Because there was always pressure, even if others couldn't see it.

"It was the levitating spell." He said after another moment of careful thought. In his mind, he was still trying to piece together whether he was being given a pass to skip class or if the man was genuinely oblivious to the time of day. For now he would play it safe. Mention NOTHING about where he was MEANT to be. "The new wand you gave me's been cooperating slowly so...I dunno...that maybe I'd make use of it and if I was really good at it you might make me keep it?" Please?
