Ariadne had done the spell, so all she had left to do was take the tape off and see if all her hard work had paid off. Hopefully it hadn't all been for nothing. She knew she wouldn't always get EVERYTHING on the first try, but something like this was just a lot of work to get no results at all. She stared at her tape, avoiding the moment where she would just have to reach out and take the tape off. She had to do it at some point, though.

She reached toward the tree and gently began taking the tape off, hoping the top branch didn't just fall to the ground. To her surprise and relief, it didn't! The spell had either worked, or the top of the tree was just deciding to be super nice and not fall off until Ariadne was back in the castle. She was going to believe that it was the first one and that she'd been awesome at this grafting process. She labeled her plant then turned toward the professor.

"Is it okay? Of course it is! It's obvious you care for your plants, and I don't think you'd let us just destroy them all," she answered, raising her hand. He seemed like the kind that was extra cautious when it came to not wasting a single piece off a single tree. Heh, he proved that a second later by saying he'd try and graft their spare parts together. At least it showed he cared! "The only danger I would see is it someone created a dangerous hybrid that we didn't know how to handle, but as long as we're labeling and being careful, that shouldn't happen. As long as we know what we're dealing with and research the two trees, we should be okay. Also, who knows, we could invent some powerful new ingredient for some amazing new potion!"
