Haddie smirked, her eyes locked on Pearl as Rachel asked the wand if it liked her name. Of course Pearl liked it, it was her name! The wand told Haddie her name. Why was this so hard for others to grasp? That wasn't why she was smirking though. The happiness that radiated off Pearl when Rachel addressed her and spoke to her, was why. "She likes it when you talk to her and call her by her name." There was no point repeating the fact that Pearl informed them on her name, not the other way around. If that hadn't sunk in yet after all the times Haddie said so, it wasn't going to do much good to say it now.
Her smirk faded when Rach reminded her of the age requirement. "16 with parent's permission." Yeah, she knew the age requirements. And there was no doubt in her mind she'll have permission by then. She had four years of working her parents over. Plenty of time. "It'll be my Christmas gift during our 5th year." If she had been born a day earlier she could have gotten it the same day the Hogwarts Express left, just earlier in the morning. Stupid birthday.
"They are twin," she stated. Haddie had been over this. They were twins, exactly like Natalia and Haddie were. She sighed and rolled her eyes at her best friend, but was still in a cheerful mood. "Silver and gold. That was the color of the first bit of magic Kira and I did." Ivory and gold light that corkscrewed out of the wand before popping like a bubble. "Plus the silver will look good on Kira. I'm getting her done for Christmas." She stated it with the same confidence she had that she'd get her tattoo when she was sixteen and that she'd start animagus training next year. "It's the only thing I'm putting on my Christmas list this year, so they'll have to get the her detailed." Haddie reached over and slid the plate closer so she could grab a couple of cupcakes off of it. She handed both to Rachel. "See what happens when you do awesome things? You get an extra cupcake." Haddie flashed Rachel a playful grin and grabbed another cupcake for herself and took a bite.
Rachel's eyes moved from Pearl the wand to Hady. "She's speaking to you again it seems.'' Naturally she herself could 'hear' nothing but she didn't push it. If Haddie said Pearl was her name, then so be it. "I'll call her by her name from now on them.'' Rachel noticed the smirk that was playing on Haddie's face slip away. She knew Mrs and Mr Denaker would disapprove of a tattoo. "Are there any other tattoos you want to get?'' She then took another mouthful of food. Even if Haddie's parents were against tattoos, she would support her friend.
Rachel nodded. Her best was so stubborn about this but in all honesty, the dark haired girl did want her and Haddie's wand to be twins. She giggled at the sigh and eye roll, knowing very well that Haddie was only pretending to be exaggerated. "Those two colours will look beautiful together.'' She could picture the two. "I can do mine the same time as you.'' Rachel was quite looking forward to this. She loved to do anything involving arts and crafts.
The eleven year old delightedly took both cupcakes. She would be saving one for later. "Perhaps I should pull pranks on you regularly if this is the case.'' Smiling, she too bit into the cupcake. Mmm! It was quite delicious. |
