Post 2 ~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Those happy thoughts really did help Rachel. She didn't trust to look up around the room for two reasons: 1. She would likely see Haddie and 2. If there were any other students crying, she would surely dissolve into tears again. Sometimes she hated being such a softie but she couldn't help it.
She began to mold the clay, pinching and shaping it carefully while she occasionally sniffed. Perhaps it was because she was feeling so sad but this took longer than she anticipated. Rachel had opted to do a bird. It was an eagle to be precise but it posed quite a challenge.
The head of it was the first to be made but the Claw didn't really like how it was shaped so she started all over again. The second attempt was just as bad. However, the third one was was reasonable so she moved on to shaping the body. That was fairly easier as were the talons.
Rachel was satisfied with her work as she surveyed it. It wasn't perfect but it would work. |
