She seemed to be at least somewhat taken back by it and he almost apologized and pulled back until he realized she hadn't moved her hand first. And then she was smiling at him. The former Gryffindor watched and waiting, trying to make sense of it all before she finally spoke and broke the silence.

"I will," he said with a smile and a nod of confirmation. "And try my best," Benny added to the last as he finally withdrew his hand from hers. Adi didn't make it easy, at least as easy as the task of keeping him happy.
