| Otter This World ♡ Catpurrccino ♡ Slotherin ♡ Pandamonium SPOILER!!: Draper!
Yes well, they could call it efficiency. James was good at that. Efficiency, like most other things really. And at this rate, he'd be willing to let even Backpack boy in. And thus we have a rare moment in which James Draper is welcoming.
Which brought him to point A, "Not at all," it was perfect timing, actually. Just about to start looking at another essay. And by the looks of it, this one was pound to get a T. Horrendous. Did the students not realize that they'd be lowered down a mark for every stain they left on their parchment? Here's some expert advice kids, don't do your assignments whilst midnight snacking. It never turned out well.
James waited for the girl to step inside before letting go of the door and walking to his seat. "Have a seat," he gestured to the chairs facing his desk, before leaning back in his own and listening to what she had to say. Career path, he nodded. The others who had come to him convinced that creatures were their calling... They were all fetuses. No well, they were all underclassmen. The first years. Too excitable, too naive, hadn't taken a single exam in their life. Didn't know what any of it meant. So of course he wouldn't turn them away completely, but they wouldn't be taken seriously just yet. Not until they proved themselves.
Miss Lynch on the other hand, was older, had more experience, approached this office visit the right way, and... James was also in a good mood, which helped.
"So you're considering a career in the field of creatures, then?" He raised a brow, assuming that this is why she had chosen to come to him in particular seeing as James wasn't the most friendly looking Professor of the bunch, it had to be something other than his warm, shining personality. That, and maybe the question would encourage her to elaborate
Aaww so she hadn't interrupted anything important? Darn it. That meant that he had time for her. Time to talk and as good as this was she was nervous. More so then talking to the other professors of even her Head of House. Why, she really had no idea. It was so silly of her and she knew it.
Hady smiled gently along with giving a small nod of her head. Thank you for NOT being busy just then. Slowly walking further into the office she choose a seat and sat down, her bag on her lap when told to do so. "Thank you." Did he even hear her? Why was she being so quiet today? Gosh where was Frankie or Zeke or someone that could help her relax and make her feel not so shy all of a sudden. Her career was important to her. "I am, Professor," Hady replied softly tucking a piece of hair behind her ear getting if off of her face. "I've always liked being around different creatures Sir, big and small alike. I have no trouble at all in allowing them their own space and time needed to come to me on their own or get right down and in there doing whatever task might need to be done. Specifically in the future I want to be a Healer for all creatures but everyone needs to start somewhere, right? And what better way to begin then to really get in there and form a bond or at the very least a friendship and some trust with as many creatures as I can." Did any of this make sense? James couldn't tell how nervous she was, could he? Gosh she really hoped not.
