Now that Indira had said the words aloud about Benny's and Adi's few fights the previous years and how miserable had been, she wondered if she indeed should have prepared herself for something like this. But all she had ever thought about the boys' relationship was one of strong friendship.
Indira was mildly surprised at the hand covering hers but she did not pull away. Benny's words were very reassuring and she trusted him fully to know that he was speaking truthfully. She found herself smiling. Perhaps it was because of her husband's many sessions trying to make her see reason along with Benny's reassurances but Indira just knew from that moment that she couldn't stand against her sons for a moment longer.
