Artemesia squinted at the Slytherin girl a bit, wondering if she resembled her archenemy at all. “Well...” she finally started after a dramatic pause. “If you do become a beater, don’t try too hard to hit the other team – especially the seeker, and especially in the head!”
She was starting to get a bit emotional, so she took a deep breath (or a portrait’s equivalent) to calm herself down. Oh, her came a handsome young man to greet her as well. She smiled at him though that fade a bit at his question. “I AM still alive,” she huffed. Why did everyone think she was dead? “But I used to play Quidditch,” she added to answer his question.”Oh I grew up just outside Sheffield.” It was a delightful place to live… er, was it? She couldn’t quite remember now. Her mind seemed to wander off a bit, but then looked at the girls again as they asked a few more questions. “Oh, um.. well I suppose my father taught me the rules of the game, but I really learned when I came to Hogwarts and played…. No, just Quidditch,” she shook her head at the next question. She couldn’t be as good as she was if her focus was too divided. “My birthday is February 27th…. 2043.”
Ariadne was just about finished up with her questioning. There really wasn't much else she could think of to ask the portrait. Everything had headed in the direction of Quidditch, and she had about all she needed on that. She re-read her notes and tried to piece together what she was going to write about in her paragraph. Did they have to read it out loud to the class? ... Ariadne wasn't quite sure how she felt about that. She could speak to everybody in here...but that was SOCIALLY. Giving a speech, though? She didn't know...
Ariadne laughed at the woman's comment to her question.
"I'll try not to," she joked, following that comment with a wink. She went on talking about playing at Hogwarts, and it occurred to Ariadne that the woman hadn't told them what house she was in. That was important stuff right there!
"Did you tell us what house you were in? I...uhh...didn't get that down." SORRRRRRY! She jotted down the woman's birthday, nodding as she did so.
"Other than that question about your house, I think that's about all for now. Thank you, Miss Timms!"
