"Boiled sugar plums...?" Blaise gave the portrait a skeptical look but scribbled down all he'd said anyway. That wasn't candy, no matter what he said but after seeing how some of these paintings were reacting, he wasn't gonna try provoking anything.

"Right...no candy then--that's okay, mum says it rots your teeth if you have too many. Although...if you did ruin your teeth, couldn't they just paint you with really good looking ones?" A curious thought now that he happened upon it. "In fact, how do we know you really look like this and didn't ask them to paint you nicer? Did you like clothes like the one you're wearing now? I mean I could paint new ones on you if you held still."

Awful generous, wasn't he? How many kids would offer to spend their afternoon making a Portrait feel prettier? Er...not prettier...he was a man...um...you got the idea though.

He WAS interested in why he'd been painted--as Olly had asked.
