She’d smirked a little at his gentlemanly offer to let her go first. Reaching forward, she clamped her fingers around his wrist and waited to see his reaction. Something told her he really was worried about hurting her, but she didn’t particularly have the same concern. Aside from preferring not to end up in the hospital wing.
Brooklyn was pretty quiet and that was...suspicious. ALWAYS. The silent ones were kind of dangerous and little kids too.
So, maybe he should have chose a guy to be his partner in the first place but since they were wearing protective gear he figured out that he wasn't going to hurt her that much. Her first move was to grab his wrist and his instant reaction was to pull away and then aimed to the temples. Of course not that hard. Heh.
