KATERINA! "Hey, Katerina!" she exclaimed excitedly as the bag was forgotten for a moment and expected the girl to sit down with her... but this wasn't her table. </3
Oh well. As soon as she could get this book out, she'd see who her table-mates were going to be... Quote:

It was far too plain to belong to HER...So, that was being remedied, first and foremost. "I'm Olivia." No, she hadn't been asked but Liv had never needed prompting. No, she most definitely wasn't that sort of girl. Also..."Hey, Professor! Nice to meet you!" She practically shouted across the room. The book was FINALLY out of her bag!
Katherine was flushed and breathing a little fast, but the victory was hers! She looked triumphly at the textbook now on the table, and in the meantime, completely missed another girl approaching her table. So when a voice unfamiliar greeted her, she was surprised and looked up at her. "Right!" And she was Olivia, but she kept quiet. She didn't want to look like a stalker who... might have memorised the whole first years' names and mostly houses, ahem. Soon enough, the girl introduced herself anyway, and the Ravenclaw smiled. "Nice to meet you," she said in a friendly tone. Good to know people, mhmm. Quote:

He found the seat and dropped his bags and things to the side of it. Who was with him. Liv, Liv was cool. Hadn't seen much of her outside of Class, or the common room though. Also, AGH OH NO! HIS RIVAL! Kate who doesn't like being called Kate!
He quickly gave Liv a smile and Kate one of course but not as nice of one as he gave Liv. "Hi Guys." He said in a soft tone of voice. Maybe he could just distract himself now by Fancying-up his name tag. Some dots all over it would look pretty awesome yeah? Before Katherine could check the other person at her table, HE came over.
And sat down.
And greeted them both.
Was he really at her table, though? She had big doubts about his ability to read, to be honest, so he might have just sat down for the fun of it. Such boys enjoyed torturing clever people, after all. So, with a smile even faker than his, she tried to see the nametag he claimed as his. He simply could not be sitting with her, see? There must be a pattern to the organisation of these names - mental capacity was the only sensible option for now, and it was as obvious as the sun that he and she were not the same level. And yet... he really WAS at this table.
At least the professor said they would switch tables at some point. That had better be soon. The class had started now, so she tried to bury her anger and listen to the professor. He didn't say anything she hadn't already known...
Portraits? She had never spoken to one yet, no, so she kept quiet and listen to others. |
