Ellery was busy. EXTREMELY busy. She was trying to see how many times she could flare her nostrils at a constant rate. The October air was almost chilly, but still only a slight zephyr. It was nice. Olly would be joining her soon, and they could talk and catch up, and she could ask him about everything that was going on in his life.
Olly had had quite enough of
girls thank you very much. He didn't want to have to see any more of them for a while. Except Ellery, of course. She was his sister so it was different. And he always wanted to spend time with her. So, he snuck out of the school all stealthy-like. Hiding behind whatever he could so nobody spotted him or followed him or anything. Luckily he did not have far to go.
Finally, he was by the lake. And there was Ellery, lying on the ground. Alright, that worked for Olly. He flopped down on the ground right next to her.
"Hi Ells." He grinned. How long had it been since he'd seen her? Not very long. Like a day. Less than 24 hours probably. But any amount of time was too long.
"How are you?"
