But it was a topic of conversation not yet breached with Atticus, not to that extent at least. More at a passing glance of 'do you ever?' to which her answer had been an assertive 'of course!'
But then there was also the matter that Kiera was quite traditional in certain ways and before that could happen other things needed to. Which was why she happened a quick glance towards her left and and blushed further.
"Well, he is darling either way," she smiled, giving the pup an affectionate kiss on his furry forehead.
"Nor is my brother. Deathly afraid of them, actually," she said as she finally rose to her feet and...well...not what DID she do? The open spot on the bench beside the woman seemed like a quaint option, so Kiera timidly moved to sit beside her. With significant space between the two of them. She could use this opportunity to finally tend to her shoe. "You...don't mind, do you?" she inquired, her hand on the heel of her shoe as she moved to slip it off. Eli let Rockwell jump up to sit on her lap as that was their usual routine whilst in the park, although she did usually get out her magazine and catch up on the latest gossip and find out what all of her favourite former coworkers were up to. Always so candid, sordid and laughable. "Hear that, Rocky? You're darling!" And with that, she laughed and gave him a kiss as he settled into spot on her lap, head hanging off by her knee. He was a nosy dog. Nosy as much as he was darling.
Shaking her head, Eliora did look closer at the shoe of the other woman, thankful that she hadn't been one of those females to demand a shoe clean of the highest pricing - something which Eliora was at no liberty to afford, what with two kids and a house to pay for. Single parenting wasn't her favourite, but it was her life. "Licorice wand?"
Because she had a whole bag in her bag.
