"Mmm I agree completely, Austin. I uhh... sometimes find a pen works bet-better than a quill." He found the ink too messy and smudgy. Picking up a pen was sometimes quicker than picking up a quill, opening the bottle, and dipping it in.

Art let out a chuckle, happy to hear Austin had found that to be true too. "Most of my uhh my creations have been found by mistake. Mmm... It's often where the difference between the uhhh the uhhh... the curious and experimental creators, and the careful once. Both are... both are right in their methods, though," he added quickly, not wanting to make Austin feel like he needed to change his approach to potion making. "One potion can be brewed differently and... sometimes... not always, sometimes it has the same results."

"The appearance of an animal," Art exclaimed, hands going to his chin to stroke it. "I'll-I'll have to brew that one for myself." He rummaged in a desk for a pen and paper and wrote the potion down for future reference, as well as what Austin had said about the potion. He laughed, "I bet it was an interesting feeling! What did you turn into?" he asked, curious.
Austin listened as the professor went on about potion making. "I've always found the ones made by mistake were more fun." Austin was young, and loved adventure, although his exploring the castle days were long gone. But he found wonder in finding new experiences with potions. It was like an adventure in itself. Speaking of adventures, he made a mental note to pick up a pen next time he was in Hogsmeade. He had seen a few on his father's desk, but he never actually used one.

His bright blue eyes lit up as the professor talked about the animal potion. "A wolf, actually. Which was odd that I chose that, to be honest, since my patronus is also a wolf." He did find it strange. He had only chosen the fur at chance, thinking a wolf would be a cool animal to become. To his surprise, his patronus had taken the same form when he learned the spell at the end of that year. Magic worked in strange ways.

"It was strange at first, since you only take the appearance of an animal. To me it felt like walking on my hands and feet. My back hurt for a few days after as well." He chuckled. It was fun prancing around as a wolf, once he got the hang of it of course, but it did leave him sore. "This girl I worked with turned into a parrot. It would have been nice to try and fly." Although he wasn't sure how it worked. It would have to be something he tried again. Once he acquired some bird feathers, of course. "Do you have any animal you would want to turn into?"
