When the door shut Bast focused his attention less on the people beside him, and more on the professor standing in front of all of them. He was new to the school too, but he also knew from Dora that this professor had only just gotten the job. What he didn't know, and had planned on asking about when the lesson was over, was if dueling club would be offered this year. No one was happier about this than this boy. No one showed it less than this boy.
His blue eyes twinkled and a smile twitched at the corners of his lips, but he otherwise remained focused on the lesson. That question seemed too easy, but maybe it was just him because other students so far had answers very different form the one he was thinking. Still he was a bit skeptical at where this lesson was leading, and if he would get much out of it.
"If we're both wandless, professor." He had his hand up briefly, long enough to gain the man's attention. "And I'm only allowed my body, mind, and surroundings, then I would fight my attacker." A lazy shrug rolled off his shoulders. "The best defense is a good offense."
